Love

Sally J. Love, 90, of Butler, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, at Quality Life Service — Sugar Creek.

She was born May 16, 1933, in Connellsville, to the late Ronald and Marian (Lynch) Phillips.

Sally graduated from Connellsville High School and became a certified nurse's assistant. She first worked for Connellsville Hospital as a switchboard operator and in patient admissions. She then worked as a nurse’s aide for Hilaire Nursing Home for 13 years, before retiring in 1992. Sally was also a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she adored singing for Christ in the choir.

Sally is survived by one son, William (Jackie) Love; two daughters, Patricia Valenti and Kathy (Daniel) Lynn; as well as four grandchildren, Justin Valenti, Ryan Lynn, Robert Love and Jeffrey Love.

In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Love, whom she married on June 1, 1952, and who passed away on Aug. 20, 1998.

LOVE — A memorial service for Sally J. Love, who died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, 2595 Interstate Drive Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

Arrangements are under the direction of THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
