Suspects sought in vandalism case at Knoch Intermediate Elementary
State police said Wednesday, Jan. 3, they are searching for suspects in a case of theft and vandalism on Knoch Intermediate Elementary School property that occurred in November.
A fence on the property was cut wide enough for the individuals to remove a “No Skateboarding” sign, according to Trooper Bertha Cazy, public information officer for Troop D.
“There’s no suspects, but it’s assumed they’re children. It happened (early), so the surveillance is not helpful,” she said.
The theft occurred around 3:31 a.m. Nov. 20 and is believed to have involved multiple suspects.
Cazy said it will cost $2,000 to repair the fence and $200 to replace the sign.
Anyone with information that may aid the investigation is asked to call the Butler state police barracks at 724-284-8100.
Efforts to reach a representative of Knoch School District about the damages were unsuccessful.
