Sentence court
The following defendants were sentenced Thursday, Jan. 4, in Common Pleas Court by Judge Joseph Kubit.
Wayne W. Edwards III, 25, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 30 to 60 months in state prison after pleading guilty to a felony count of aggravated assault filed by Butler city police following a July 13, 2022, incident and a cruelty to animals charge filed by Butler Township police following a July 6, 2022, incident.
Thomas W. Parker, 20, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 48 months of probation including nine months of house arrest after pleading guilty to three felony charges of aggravated assault by vehicle filed by state police after the vehicle he was driving crashed into two trees before rolling over Sept. 30, 2021, on Parker Pike in Allegheny Township causing three of four passengers to be injured and taken to hospitals.
Edward F. Mistick Jr., 45, of Beaver Falls, was sentenced to serve 30 days to 12 months in the county prison and pay $4,355 in restitution to Kenmac Rentals and Sales in Butler after pleading guilty to a theft of service charge filed by Butler city police following an Aug. 30, 2021, incident.
Jeffrey C. Pogorzelski, 40, of Pittsburgh, was sentenced to serve 30 months of probation after pleading guilty to two felony charges of theft by deception filed in two cases. State police filed one case following a Dec. 21, 2022, incident in Connoquenessing Township, and Penn Township police filed the second case following an incident on the same day.
