County schools close, operate on two-hour delay Tuesday
School districts in Butler County are operating on two-hour delay schedules or are closed Tuesday, Jan. 9, due to inclement weather.
The closed school districts include Butler Area School District, Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School, Moniteau School District, Slippery Rock Area School District and Freeport Area School District.
Seneca Valley School District is operating on a two-hour delay schedule. There are no morning Vo-tech classes for Seneca Valley students, according to its website.
Karns City Area School District is utilizing a flexible instruction day. All students will work remotely.
Knoch School District will also utilize a flexible instruction day. This means students work remotely from home and follow a 2-hour delay schedule.
Knoch students are instructed to log on at 10:55 a.m. Teachers will advise them of their lunch break. The instructional day ends at 3:40 p.m.
Mars Area School District is utilizing a remote learning day, according to its website. All remote learning days will run on a two-hour delay and modified Kindergarten schedule.
In addition, all Butler County Community College campuses will begin operations at 10 a.m.
