Utility trucks and linemen lined the parking lot of Community Alliance Church to honor Jay Sedwick, Sr., cable television pioneer and chairman of the board for Armstrong Holdings, on Friday, Jan. 12. Sedwick, 88, died on Jan. 1. Born in Kittanning, Sedwick oversaw Armstrong Group’s entry into the broadband internet business and the construction of Armstrong’s first cable TV system in Butler. Before working as chairman of the board, Sedick worked in several leadership capacities at Armstrong, including as president and chief operating officer.
