Students at both Butler Community College and Slippery Rock University got a cool welcome — literally — on the first day of the semester, as temperatures were in the teens and single digits through most of the day.

Slippery Rock’s spring semester runs until its commencement ceremony May 3. BC3’s semester ends with its commencement ceremony May 15.
