Miller’s Quality Meats closed after Wednesday night fire

Miller’s Quality Meats in Butler was significantly damaged in a fire Wednesday night, Jan. 17, and business officials said the shop will be closed until repairs can be made.

The fire was reported at 142 North Main Street around 9:51 p.m., Wednesday, according to county dispatchers, and crews remained on scene for more than two hours.

According to a Facebook post from Miller’s Quality Meats, there were no injuries connected to the fire.

“Significant damage has occurred, and we anticipate an extended closure period,” they wrote. “Our top priority is ensuring a safe and thorough disaster restoration process to get our facility operating again.”

The post also thanked the first responders for all they did during the fire.

“We want to express our sincere gratitude for the prompt response from local firefighters, law enforcement, tenants, and neighboring businesses,” they wrote.

Butler Bureau of Fire, Butler Township Volunteer Fire District, Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue Team, Butler Ambulance Service and VA Butler Healthcare Fire Department all responded to the call.
