Thelma Hodges
Thelma E. “Pat” Hodges, 89, of Butler, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, at Sunnyview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
She was born Nov. 18, 1934, in Oil City, to Thomas Arnold Aikins and Helen Marie (Riley) Aikins-Zeigler.
Thelma was a homemaker. She was also a life member of the East Butler Fire Hall. Thelma enjoyed spending time with her family and looking after her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Howard (Fran) Eppinger Jr; her two daughters, Rita Ann (Richard) Stone and Patricia (Douglas) Fleeger, both of Butler; her eight grandchildren; her 11 great-grandchildren; her four great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Raymond Aikins of Franklin, Pa.; her two half-sisters, Janet (Don) Osborne of Franklin, Pa., and Gloria Prindle of Oil City; as well as numerous nieces and nephew.
In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Hodges; her son, Thomas Eppinger; and four siblings.
HODGES — Friends and family of Thelma E. “Pat” Hodges, who died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Pastor Bob Edmundson officiating.
Private burial will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery.
