Man cited in connection to Friday crash in Clinton Township

A Saxonburg man was injured and cited for traffic violations following a crash Friday, Jan. 26, in Clinton Township, according to state police.

Police said David A. Christ, 61, was taken to Allegheny Valley Hospital after crashing into a tri-axle truck at the intersection of Saxonburg Boulevard and Deer Creek Road.

A crash report indicated Christ was traveling west on Deer Creek Road in a Ford F-150 around 12:40 p.m. Friday. As he stopped at a stop sign, a tri-axle driven by Jeremy T. Elder, 40, of Harrisville, was traveling south on Saxonburg Boulevard.

Police said Christ drove onto Saxonburg Boulevard before the road was clear and struck the tri-axle.

Christ suffered injuries of unknown severity and was taken to the hospital by Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company’s ambulance, documents showed.

According to court documents, Christ was issued two traffic citations in connection to the crash, one for not wearing a seat belt and one regarding duties at a stop sign.
