Mark McBride
Mark Stephen McBride, 53, of Butler, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family and friends, on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, after an extended illness with acute myeloid leukemia.
He was born Aug. 3, 1970, in Butler, the son of the late Harold J. McBride Sr. and Dorothy (Barron) McBride of Butler.
He graduated from Butler High School in 1988. Following graduation, he worked at Eat’n Park as a line cook and shift manager, followed by employment at Magnetics until it closed its doors. He later was employed at Con Yeager for 22 years as a distribution manager, where he retired in 2022 due to his health.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge of Butler. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, especially in the summer to the beach with his friends. He was an avid sports fan, and his favorite team was the Philadelphia Eagles. Mark also loved all animals.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy (Barron) McBride. Also surviving is his brother, Matthew McBride; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his long-term girlfriend, Denise Wadlinger.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Harold J. McBride Sr.; and his brother, Harold J. McBride Jr.

MCBRIDE — Friends of Mark Stephen McBride, who died Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
