2-vehicle crash on I-79 in Jackson Township
Nobody was injured during a two-vehicle head-on collision Friday, Feb. 2, in Jackson Township at the intersection of Interstate 79 and Lindsay Road, according to Jackson Township police.
While heading southbound, a Kia Sorento collided with a BMW 540i at the I-79 on ramp at about 5 p.m., according to police.
Airbags in both vehicles were visibly deployed.
“An SUV was trying to make a turn ... directly in front of another car that was going straight,” patrolman Ryan Hunter said.
Hunter said the cause of the crash was unknown.
Traffic was restricted to one lane for nearly 45 minutes as the fire departments from Harmony and Cranberry Township cleared the road.
Both parities declined treatment at the scene, according to Hunter.
