Four Butler County organizations received a total of $250,000 in Emergency Solutions Grant awards from Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development, which will go to helping homeless individuals and families find a place to live. In total, the DCED awarded more than $6.3 million to organizations across the state.

The $250,000 was awarded to the Butler County commissioners, who applied on behalf of four organizations: The Care Center, Catholic Charities, the Center for Community Resources, and Glade Run Lutheran Services. This will aid the organizations in providing rapid rehousing and emergency shelter operations, among other functions.
