17 Seneca Valley students advance to regionals after PMEA district chorus
Twenty-one Seneca Valley chorus students in grades 10-12 recently participated in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District Chorus event held at Mercer High School, with 17 advancing to the regional level based on audition results.
The festival included musical selections in Latin, Samoan, Te Reo Maori and English, and saw student representatives from Beaver, Butler, Lawrence and Mercer counties.
Seneca Valley students were led by secondary choral instructors Bobi-Jean Alexander and Claire Barker.
Participating chorus participants included Ayla Alexander, Annika Batavia, Connor Benson, Josh Cantella, Nathan Capizzi, Ella Gemperlein, Isaac Hixon, Jackson Hugus, Shayla Kemp, Graham Logue, Jacob Maietta, Katie McAdoo, Natalie Palmer, John Rieger, Morgan Roithner, Josie Sherman, Giulia Siegfried, Madeleine Tomo, Madelyn Tresky, Callum Williams and Emma Zelesnak.
