The Pennsylvania Department of Education recently awarded the Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School $85,000 as part of the 2024 Career and Technical Education Equipment Grants Program.

Butler Vo-Tech is one of 55 career and technical centers and school districts in Pennsylvania that received funding to purchase new equipment to help train students through career and technical education programs.

All together, the funds amounted to $4 million. This year’s list of grant recipients can be found on the Department of Education’s website.

Butler Vo-Tech’s executive director, Regina Hiler, was not immediately available for comment Friday afternoon.
