Summit Elementary second-graders share Valentine goals

Kindness was on the minds of students in Sara Sneddon’s second-grade class during a recent lesson at Summit Elementary School in the Butler Area School District.

The students created handwritten sentiments in answer to the question, “How can I spread kindness at school?” Some referenced Safety, Ownership, Attitude, and Respect/Responsibility (SOAR), which is the school’s positive behavior program.

“I can spread kindness at school by making EXTRA kind notes. I can also use kind words.” Chevelle Green

“I can spread kindness around. I can help people do stuff. I can also say manners/polite and SOAR.” Pearl Simko
