Judy L. (Sollinger) Hancock, 77, of Butler, passed away Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, at Butler Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born Oct. 1, 1946, in Butler, the daughter of the late William Sollinger and Alma (Hilgar) Sollinger.

Judy was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and had been a private duty nurse. Judy loved watching her grandchildren participating in sporting events and showing their animals at the farm show and traveling. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, James Hancock; a son, James “Jay” J. (April) Hancock of Brunswick, Ohio; a daughter, Jodi (Joshua) Teets of Slippery Rock; her grandchildren, James, Mac, Faith, Owen, Levi and BJ Hancock, and Colt and Morgan Teets.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

HANCOCK — Friends of Judy L. (Sollinger) Hancock, who died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

Visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday will be held at St. John's United Methodist Church, 244 Halston Road, Slippery Rock, with Pastor Earl Dykes officiating.

Private interment will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
