The board approved a 5% increase to Hatch’s rate, and the board approved the hiring of an alternate insurance consultant in Mitchell Insurance. The rate of the Hatch project manager who is assigned to BASA, for example, is now $139 per hour, according to Duane McKee, executive director of the authority.

McKee said the board of directors did not vote Tuesday on any items related to the authority’s pending sale to Pennsylvania American Water.

“The appointments were approved as advertised,” McKee said.
