The Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the County of Butler has received an $83,127 grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, as part of the Family Self Sufficiency program.

The program connects HUD-assisted families to resources that can help them find work, increase their income, and reduce their dependency upon government-run welfare services.

In total, HUD awarded $2.8 million worth of the program grants to public housing agencies and Project Based Rental Assistance owners in Pennsylvania.
