Brian M. “Bugsy” Angert, 66, of Butler, passed away Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born Jan. 12, 1958, in Butler, the son of the late Jay and Ellen (Barnhart) Angert.

Bugsy had worked at ATI and also Marmon Keystone. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and going on vacation.

Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Patricia (Covert) Angert; a daughter, Nicole (Phill) Basel of Butler; two sons, Basil (Tricia) Luchkiw of Cabot and Joshua Luchkiw of Butler; five grandchildren, Kendra, Kamyrn, Joshua, Jace and Addison; and two sisters, Barbara (Dave) Wagner of Butler and Karen (Barry) Druschel of Allison Park.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Paul “Wuzzy” Covert.

ANGERT — Friends of Brian M. “Bugsy” Angert, who died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

Private burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
