District 9 released its basketball playoff brackets Thursday night. Upcoming games involving local teams follow:

Boys

Class 3A Championship

No. 2 Moniteau (12-10) vs. No. 1 Brookville (11-10), 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Clarion University.

Class 2A Quarterfinal

No. 6 Cranberry (13-9) vs. No. 3 Karns City (16-6), 7 p.m. Feb. 23 at Karns City High School.

Class 1A Quarterfinal

No. 5 Union (12-10) vs. No. 4 Cameron County (20-3), 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cameron County High School.

Girls

Class 3A Championship

No. 1 Karns City (16-7) received a bye. The Gremlins will face the winner of a semifinal between Kane and Brookville in the championship game at 6 p.m. Thursday at Clarion University.

Class 2A Semifinal

No. 3 Coudersport (19-4) vs. No. 2 Moniteau (17-5), 7 p.m. Feb. 28 at Brockway High School
