Volunteers to set up railing along Butler Freeport Trail
Chris Ziegler, president of the Butler Freeport Community Trail Council, is inviting volunteers to help set up a railing along the Monroe Bridge from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24.
Volunteers are asked to bring the necessary tools, including measuring tape, pencils, safety glasses, a screw gun, and water.
“If we have enough people, we may send a group north to trim trees and prune,” writes Ziegler. “If you have a chainsaw and would like to bring it, we wouldn’t turn you down.”
Volunteers are advised to park at the Buffalo Creek Nature Park in Sarver, just south of the bridge.
