Seneca Valley’s Mock Trial team will advance to a regional competition after winning first place at a district competition held at the Butler County Courthouse.

The mock trial team is made up of students from ninth through 12th grades in the gifted program and is advised by Brieana Nassan, Intermediate High School gifted support teacher.

Members include Kacy Christensen, Sydney Kratsas, Leo Slacker, Julia Acker, Lilly Hudac, Julia Gibilisco, Calleigh Foulkrod, Friyana Sepai, Dimitri Matusiak, Jacob Hensler, Nick Porter, Elle Barnes, Ben Carnino, Parker Spence, Annika Batavia, Natalia Verdi and Isabelle Patinski.

This is the second time that the Seneca Valley Mock Trial team has won the district competition.
