Stormy Oaks to receive $33K grant from DCNR
Stormy Oaks Nature Conservancy will receive a grant of $33,146 from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. It is one of 12 grants awarded by the DCNR totaling $444,364, which are aimed at helping protect the native biodiversity of Pennsylvania.
According to the DCNR website, Stormy Oaks’ grant is aimed at the conservation of the chimney swift species. Projects will include “visual media and documentary filmmaking,” as well as an increase in nesting sites at the conservancy.
Stormy Oaks received an award letter Dec. 22, but executive director Melissa Brown said the grant agreement has not been finalized yet.
