Panei

Fred A. Panei, 66, of Butler, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024.

He was born in Butler on Sept. 22, 1957, and was the son to the late Henry “Reggie” and Bessie (McCanna) Panei.

Throughout his career Fred worked as a truck driver until his retirement. He loved to hunt, fish, play pool and spend his free time at the Italian Club. Fred was known for his love of sports — specifically the Raiders and Pirates — muscle cars and truck driving. And he loved talking on the CB to other truckers.

He was the father of Jesse (Leigh) Panei; brother of Linda Hinchberger and Michele (Tim) Skarada; and grandfather of Jordan and Jaron Panei. Fred also is survived by his nieces, nephews and cousins.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Nancy Swain and Danny Panei.

PANEI — All services for Fred A. Panei, who died Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
