At the Saxonburg Area Rotary Club’s latest event Saturday, attendees were encouraged to don “The Great Gatsby”-era costumes as they played classic casino games.
The organization’s Soaring ‘20s Casino Night, which Rotary president Chad Martin said was discussed for two years, featured themed music and signature cocktails inspired by the time period along with a photo booth with props.
A silent auction and basket raffle also featured vintage-inspired items.
At the end of the night, one lucky guest won an evening in the Rotary-owned trolley. Martin said the prize included a gift certificate to Hotel Saxonburg and two restaurants.
Proceeds will benefit Rotary-sponsored causes and a Saxonburg playground.
