Cranberry Public Library to hold verbal self-defense class for women
Learning to use your voice as the first line of defense in difficult and dangerous situations is the topic of the Cranberry Public Library’s next speaker event for Women’s History Month.
The event is set for 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 22, at the library, 2525 Rochester Road.
This class is designed for women over the age of 18 to practice and learn in a safe place by instructor, Jackie Umans, who has 25 years of experience learning, teaching and practicing verbal self-defense.
“It helps women to understand how much power they already possess, whether they’re 18 or 80, for defending themselves and their loved ones,” she said.
The event is free with registration required by visiting cranberry.librarycalendar.com or calling 724-776-9100.
