Floyd Snyder, 79, of Butler, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024.

He was born in Butler on Nov. 3, 1944, to the late Floyd and Ellen (Leras) Snyder.

He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Floyd worked for Pullman Standard, then Greenview Gardens and later for Butler Township Parks and Recreation. He enjoyed playing with his dogs, going to the casino and working on cars. Floyd loved his family and friends dearly and everyone loved him as well.

He was the husband of the late Carol Schaffner; father of Stephanie Vogel; brother-in-law of Stephanie Snyder; and grandfather of Aubrey and Robbey Fields. He will be forever loved by Mary Dietrich.

Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberlie Snyder; and his brother, Walter Snyder.

SNYDER — Family and friends of Floyd Snyder, who died Monday, March 4, 2024, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
