Scout troops from Moraine Trails Council attended the 2024 first aid meet on Saturday at the Butler Intermediate High School gymnasium.

Patrols of five to eight scouts competed by administering first aid to a mock victim during five different emergency situations.

Patrols had 10 minutes to work on the “victim” after hearing a description of the emergency situation. A judge then scored the patrol based on several criteria.

A five-minute learning and solution discussion followed the mock treatment.

The first aid meet is held each year as a continued learning experience, so scouts will be able to treat those in emergency situations until health care professionals take over.
