Police reports

The following items have been collected from various police department and district courts:

Adams Twp

Feb. 26 — Zachary M. Canavan, 32, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said he did not possess a valid drivers license and was found with a glass smoking device.

Feb. 22 — Michael A. Myers, 43, of Mars, was charged as a misdemeanor habitual offender. Police said he has operated a vehicle multiple times with a suspended license.

Feb. 22 — Zachary M. Canavan, 32, of Butler, was charged with felony identity theft and misdemeanors use and possession of drug paraphernalia and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Police said he crashed a vehicle that was not his, provided a false name, and was found in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Butler

Feb. 23 — Bo B. Murray, 39, of Bruin, was charged with misdemeanors resisting arrest and evading arrest. Police said he did not comply with officer’s commands.

Feb. 21 — Janeal Lavette, 28, of Pittsburgh, was charged with felony drug sales and misdemeanor drug possession. Police said he was found with suspected cocaine and marijuana and several cellphones.

Butler Twp

Feb. 23 — Ashley L. Kennedy, 37, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor bad checks. Police said she wrote a check with insufficient funds.

Feb. 21 — Anthony P. Savannah, 43, and Anthony M. Savannah, 20, both of Butler, were charged with misdemeanors theft and conspiracy. Police said they left Walmart with $162 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

Feb. 21 — Trevor D. Green, 33, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor drug possession. Police said he was found with a suspected marijuana.

Feb. 20 — Daniel L. Gerard, 40, of Butler, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor theft. Police said he left Tesla Wellness Hotel and MedBed Center with $653 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

Feb. 20 — Shawn M. Wirt, 46, of Butler, was charged with felony theft. Police said he left Walmart with $317 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

Feb. 17 — Dean E. Kemper, 42, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault and two counts of summary harassment. Police said he shoved someone.

Cranberry Twp

Feb. 23 — Niyah L. Thomas, 22, of Walled Lake, Mich., was charged with two counts of misdemeanor theft. Police said she left Dick’s Sporting Goods with $934 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

North Regional

Feb. 13 — Asha M. Persaud, 44, of Mars, was charged with misdemeanor DUI after police stopped her on Route 228, Seven Fields. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired.

Slippery Rock

Feb. 20 — Malaya P. Wade, 41, of Braddock, was charged with misdemeanor theft. Police said she used a check intended for Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company and Rescue Team.

State police, Butler

Feb. 21 — Nicholas J. Bowser, 28, of Kittanning, was charged with three counts of misdemeanor DUI after police stopped him Feb. 1 on Route 422, Summit Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired.

Feb. 21 — Daniel A. Hartzell, 36, of Butler, was charged with a felony and misdemeanor of a false written statement. Police said he answered a question inaccurately when applying to purchase a firearm at Rural King in Center Township.

Feb. 20 — Mary E. Melzer, 42, of Slippery Rock, was charged with felony drug sales and three counts of misdemeanor drug possession. Police said she sold suspected marijuana to a confidential informant.

Feb. 20 — Angelique J. Thompson, 34, of Butler, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after police stopped her on Route 422, Butler Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired, and a later blood test showed her blood alcohol content at 0.118%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Feb. 20 — Gerald L. McWilliams, 42, of Butler, was charged with a felony and misdemeanor of a false written statement. Police said he answered a question inaccurately when applying to purchase a firearm at Rural King in Center Township.

Feb. 20 — Cassandra E. Robinson, 46, of Butler, was charged with a felony and misdemeanor of a false written statement. Police said she answered a question inaccurately when applying to purchase a firearm at Dunham’s in Center Township.

Feb. 20 — Loren M. Lawrence, 34, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanors simple assault and disorderly conduct and summary harassment. Police said she struck someone in the face.

Feb. 20 — Alyson K. Fennell, 20, of Chicora, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after crashing her vehicle Feb. 1 on West Liberty Road, Brady Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired, and a later blood test showed her blood alcohol content at 0.187%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Feb. 20 — Brandyn L. Gutauskas, 40, of Lyndora, was charged with felony contraband and misdemeanor drug possession. Police said he was found with three stamp bags of suspected heroin.

Feb. 17 — Kayla M. McDade, 36, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanors simple assault and false communication with 911 and summaries harassment and disorderly conduct. Police said she hung up on a 911 dispatcher and scratched someone.
