Sentence Court

The following defendants were sentenced Thursday, March 7, and Friday, March 8, in Common Pleas Court.

Jeremy W. Hays, 30, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation, including six months of house arrest, pay fines totaling $2,500 and complete litter pickup and 40 hours of community service after pleading guilty to his third DUI offense and driving with a suspended license filed by state police following an Oct. 27 incident in Prospect.

Kristen S. Vargo, 26, of Slippery Rock, was sentenced to 24 months of probation and ordered to get a mental health evaluation and follow any recommendations after pleading guilty to a false report charge filed by state police following an Oct. 20, 2022, incident in Slippery Rock.

Steven M. Sheptak, 38, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 36 months of probation after pleading guilty to simple assault and reckless endangerment charges filed by state police following a Sept. 4 incident in Center Township.

Desiree C. Riley, 33, of McKees Rock, was sentenced to serve 24 months of probation including three months of house arrest after pleading guilty to a retail theft charge filed by Cranberry Township police following a March 28, 2023, incident.

Charles D. Lloyd, 21, of Pittsburgh, was sentenced to serve 6 to 18 months in prison, but was immediately paroled to serve six months of house arrest and six months of probation, pay a $1,000 fine and complete litter pickup and 40 hours of community service after pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and driving under the influence of drugs filed by state police following a Sept. 2, 2022, incident in Clay Township.

Donald T. Kuminkoski, 66, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 36 months of probation after pleading guilty to harassment and two counts of disorderly conduct filed by Penn Township police following a Jan. 5, 2023, incident.

Casey Andrew McClure, 41, of Tarentum, was sentenced to serve 18 months of probation and pay a $200 fine after pleading guilty to retail theft, driving with a suspended license and false identification to law enforcement charges filed in three separate complaints by Buffalo and Penn township police following incidents in 2017 and 2019.

Jason L. Wagner, 36, of Venetia, was sentenced to serve 48 months of probation, fined $600 and ordered to complete 30 hours of community service after pleading guilty to three counts of theft by deception filed by state police following a May 15, 2022, incident in Summit Township.
