None injured in multi-vehicle accident on Route 68

CONNOQUENESSING TWP -- No occupants were injured in a multi-vehicle accident which occurred near the intersection of Route 68 (Evans City Road) and Shannon Road in Connoquenessing Township.

The two-vehicle crash was reported at 3:15 p.m., and resulted in one of the vehicles passing through a guard rail and going into a ditch near White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church.

One of the vehicles involved in the accident was a white, unmarked Chevrolet van which was towed away from the scene by shortly after 4:30 p.m.

In the aftermath of the accident, local fire police briefly closed Route 68 at Rose Haven Drive. The incident was officially terminated just before 4:30 p.m.

Multiple rescue agencies responded to the scene, including the Butler Ambulance Service, Connoquenessing Volunteer Fire Company, and Butler Township Volunteer Fire District. According to Butler County dispatch, no occupants in either car required transport to a hospital.

It is still unknown how exactly the accident occurred or how many occupants were in both cars combined.
