Richard “Rick” D. Schubert, 58, of Prospect, passed away on Monday morning, March 11, 2024, at his residence with loving family by his side.

Born in Butler on June 8, 1965, he was the son of the late Donald A. and Shirley Constantine Schubert.

He was of the Lutheran faith.

Rick was employed as a tech manager in maintenance for Cannon USA for 35 years.

He graduated from Butler High School in 1983.

He was truly an outdoorsman, with archery hunting being his favorite. Hunting, fishing and camping were also on his list.

Rick loved lighting up the sky, especially at Bear Ridge Campground, Templeton.

He enjoyed his dart league he shot on Tuesdays.

Rick was a member of Meadville Lodge 408 F&AM.

He is survived by his wife, Paulette Matuke Schubert, whom he married Oct. 1, 1988; one daughter, Holly (Bruce) Pelletier of Prospect; one sister, Judy Tonya of Templeton; and nieces and nephews, T.J. Schubert, Alicia Gatts, Brandon Tonya and Brandi Ripley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Garrett Paul; two brothers, Tim and Donnie; and a brother-in-law, David Tonya.

SCHUBERT — Friends and relatives of Richard “Rick” D. Schubert, who died Monday, March 11, 2024, are invited to a celebration of his life from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at A. CARL KINSEY-RONALD N. VOLZ FUNERAL HOME, 328 W. Main St., Evans City. Services will follow at 5 p.m.
