Butler County under severe thunderstorm warning
The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for large swathes of Western Pennsylvania, including Butler County.
The warning is in effect through 10:45 p.m.
The Weather Service said the storm could bring quarter-sized hail that could cause minor damage to vehicles.
The areas of most concern in Butler County are Butler, Zelienople, Evans City and Slippery Rock, according to the Weather Service.
The weather service recommends for your protection that you move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
