Butler Township police charged a Lyndora man after a stabbing in the 100 block of Whitestown Road on Friday evening, March 15.

Marcos Roman was charged with criminal attempt to commit voluntary manslaughter, aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment, according to a Saturday news release.

Police said a 21-year-old was stabbed around 6:13 p.m. Friday and was flown to Allegheny General Hospital via LifeFlight. The person who was stabbed was not identified in the news release from police.

According to scanner activity, the 21-year-old had multiple stab wounds to their side.

Roman, 42, was previously charged with robbery in 2020, after police said he and another man followed a woman from a Butler Township store to her home in Center Township and took her purse.

Roman pled guilty to the charge and was sentenced to incarceration in Butler County Prison and probation in 2021.
