Cranberry to host USA Hockey 18U championship in 2025
Cranberry Township is set to go hockey crazy in April 2025, when youth hockey teams from across America come to town to take part in the USA Hockey Youth National Championships.
USA Hockey announced on March 3 the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, the training facility of the Pittsburgh Penguins, will host the Youth Tier I 18U tournament, from April 1 through April 5, 2025.
Other cities across America will host tournaments for other age brackets, from high school to 14U.
In addition to Penguins training and practices, the Lemieux Sports Complex also hosted the 2022 USA Hockey Girls National Championship tournament, and at one point hosted the ice hockey program for Slippery Rock University.
