Bailey

Lynette Sue Bailey, 73, of Slippery Rock, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 17, 2024.

She was born Sept. 6, 1950, in Evans City, the daughter of the late Leonard Altemus and Doris Gehm Altemus.

Lynette was employed by Mine Safety Appliances as a group leader. She loved the outdoors. She enjoyed the beach and collected lighthouses. She liked birds, and she was an avid gardener. She enjoyed collecting houses for Nativity scenes from the Evans City drugstore. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

Lynette leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Sam Bailey, whom she married on May 29, 1999; her stepdaughter, Lynnea Bailey; her brother, Calvin Altemus; and her nieces and nephew, Heather, Katie and Mike.

In addition to her parents, Lynette was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Altemus.

BAILEY — In accordance with the family’s wishes, there are no services scheduled for Lynette Sue Bailey, who died Sunday, March 17, 2024.
