Ogin baffles Cavaliers

Kelsey Ogin allowed just one hit while striking out 15 as Butler’s softball team earned an 11-0 victory in six innings Friday against Kiski Area.

Leaders at the plate for the Golden Tornado, who collected 13 hits, included Lily Vicari, who went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Madi Wolfe drove in three runs and Gracie Negley two.

Boys Tennis

Butler defeated Kiski Area, 3-2, with the Golden Tornado winning all three singles matches thanks to Andrew Bocci, Ben Busler and James Walter.

The match was determined using pro-set scoring.

Boys Lacrosse

Jake Stevens deposited seven goals and Ayden Davis another three as Butler defeated Indiana, 18-5, on the road. Ian Wilson, Jaxon Salata, and Brock Collins each netted a pair, while Nolan Cranmer and Grant Holt also scored for the Golden Tornado (4-0).

Matt McCombs had 10 face-off wins, while Stevens added four assists.

Girls Lacrosse

Mars defeated Ambridge, 20-2. No other details were available.
