State police investigating ATM robbery at PNC Bank
State police are requesting the public’s help identifying two men involved in an ATM robbery Sunday at PNC Bank near Clearview Mall in Center Township.
Police said a man was depositing cash into the ATM at the bank around 9:10 p.m. when a dark-colored sedan approached him from behind. The driver exited the sedan holding an unknown object and approached the driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle.
The victim fled without the cash, and the driver of the sedan pulled forward and took the money, documents show.
Both men are white males, police said. The man who approached the victim’s vehicle was described as 40 to 50 years old, standing 5 feet, 10 inches and weighing 150 pounds. Police said witnesses said the man had brown hair and was wearing a brown Carhartt-style jacket and dark blue jeans.
The driver of the sedan was wearing a long-sleeve black shirt, police said.
