Former Butler resident found dead in Virginia river
A former resident of Butler County was found dead in a river in Chesapeake, Va., last month, according to officials, and her death remains under investigation.
Alicia Peters, 32, of Virginia Beach, Va., was found dead March 9 where the Elizabeth and Indian rivers meet near Wheeling Avenue in Chesapeake, according to news outlets.
Officials with Chesapeake police said Monday, April 1, her death is not considered suspicious at this time.
According to a representative of the Virginia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Peters’ cause and manner of death are listed as “pending.”
Peters’ obituary indicates she is a 2008 graduate of Butler Senior High School.
