Balls Bend project to enter final phase on April 10
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that nighttime motorists will experience some lane closures and flagging on Route 228 in Middlesex Township starting April 10, as the $26.5 million Balls Bend Bend Safety Improvement Project enters its final phase.
Line painting and signal work at the Harbison Road and Park Road intersection will begin at 8 p.m., weather permitting.
In the event of low temperatures or inclement weather, the date will be rescheduled. The new left turn lane onto Park Road will become active during this time.
Once fully implemented, traffic will change to one lane eastbound and one lane westbound across the bridge near Davis Road.
