Seneca Valley orchestra students take part in PMEA festival
Isabella Muthler, a junior in the Seneca Valley School District, is one of seven orchestra students who recently participated in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Western Region Orchestra Festival who will advance to the All-State Orchestra this month.
Other participating student musicians included Elizabeth Browne, Tristan Conrad, Issac Hixon, Jake Pieszak, Ava Platt and Morgan Roithner.
The guest conductor for the festival was Christopher M. Cicconi, professor of music Education, wind ensemble and symphony orchestra at Towson University. Students performed a concert of musical works from “Appalachian Spring,” “Pines of Rome,” “American Salute” and “Summon the Heroes.”
Students are led by Sarah Miller, secondary orchestra instructor.
