Students at Rowan Elementary School learned about the solar eclipse and participated in demonstrations ahead of the celestial event on Monday, April 8.
Stephanie Saunders, a parent in the Seneca Valley School District who is a senior security consultant for cybersecurity firm TrustedSec, which partners with NASA, discussed the differences between a solar and lunar eclipse as well as viewing safety.
Saunders used a flashlight to demonstrate what the solar eclipse would look like and showed students a picture of what the eclipse looks like from satellites in space.
