A Gibsonia man died following a Tuesday, April 9, crash on Gibsonia Road, just south of the Butler County line.

Victor Strogonoff, 72, was taken to the hospital and later died after his vehicle went off the road and over a ravine near the intersection of Gibsonia and Benedict roads in Richland Township, Allegheny County, according to Northern Regional Police Chief John Sicilia.

The crash occurred around 7 p.m. Tuesday. A portion of Gibsonia Road was shut down as police investigated and towed the vehicle, Sicilia said.
