Crash shuts down I-79
Injuries were reported in a Saturday morning crash that shut down the southbound lane of Interstate 79 at Route 488 in Muddy Creek Township.
Fire and rescue crews, along with state police, were sent to the scene at 10:15 a.m.
Emergency responders instructed firefighters to divert traffic from southbound I-79 onto Route 488 as a result of the crash, which appeared to involve one vehicle.
Motorists should avoid the area for the time being.
