The planned closure of Meridian Road between Railroad Street and Smith Road in Penn Township has been postponed to April 29 because of inclement weather. The closure was scheduled to take place from April 22 through May 20.

Meridian Road will be closed with a detour as crews remove the hillside for the construction of the new road. From north of the closure, motorists will travel on Meridian Road to Route 68 East into Butler, to Route 8 South to Brownsdale Road, and back onto Meridian Road. Signage will be placed along the detour route to assist motorists.
