Several Slippery Rock University students were recognized at SRU’s annual Celebration of Achievement awards ceremony held April 2.

Kelli Galbraith, a senior mathematics major from Gibsonia, was recognized as a finalist for the Syed Ali-Zaidi Award for Academic Excellence and will receive $1,000.

Galbraith presented two research projects in three states earlier this year at the 2024 Joint Mathematical Meeting and the 2023 North American Power Symposium. Last summer, she also worked as an intern with the U.S. Department of Energy Omni Technology Alliance at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee.
