Knoch High School and Knoch Middle School will utilize a Flexible Instruction Day tomorrow, Tuesday, April 23.

The flex day is the result of a gas leak that occurred on Monday, April 22, after a construction crew detected a mild gas smell emanating from the ground, indicating there was a leak somewhere beneath.

According to the school’s Facebook page, the workers immediately stopped working and notified the gas company.

The school posted that the situation does not create a danger to students or staff, but the lack of gas service means the high school and middle school will not have heat or the ability to cook tomorrow, according to the school.

Flexible Instruction Days run on a 2-hour delay schedule, which will be posted on the school webpages.
