Man injured by falling tree
A LifeFlight helicopter took a man to the hospital Tuesday morning, April 23, for a head injury he sustained involving a tree.
According to the Butler County 911 Center, the call came in at 11:41 a.m. for a man who was struck in the head by a tree on Verndale Drive near Herman Road in Clearfield Township.
Upon arrival, crews from East Butler Ambulance Service and Herman Volunteer Fire Company found a man who was having difficulty hearing and seeing with an indentation in his skull.
According to Kris Bowser, Herman assistant chief, the man had “moderate to severe injuries” on scene and was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital.
The condition of the man is unknown at this time.
