Griwatz

Dolores Amelia Griwatz, 96, of Zelienople, formerly of Mars, passed away on Tuesday morning, April 23, 2024, at her home.

Born in Scranton, Pa., on March 5, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Amelia Price.

Dolores attended the Johnson Culinary School and loved cooking. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting and loved theater.

She attended LifePointe Alliance Church and was a member of the Mars Women's Club.

Surviving are two sons, Darryl H. Griwatz (Marie) of Cornelius, N.C., and Gary G. Griwatz of Cranberry Township; a daughter, Debby Dee Bissell of Longwood, Fla.; her grandchildren, D.J., Brook, Josh, Tess and Thea; and her great-grandchildren, Addison and Ashton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gunther H. “Hank” Griwatz, whom she married on Feb. 2, 1948, and who died on Aug. 9, 2011; and by four brothers.

GRIWATZ — Friends of Dolores Amelia Griwatz, who died Tuesday, April 23, 2024, will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Cope officiating.
