Armstrong, Butler county outreach centers hosting 5K
Butler County’s Victim Outreach Intervention Center and Armstrong County’s HAVIN: Helping All Victims in Need are working together host a 5K race and walk in Worthington on Saturday, April 27, with the intention to spread awareness about sexual assault and child abuse during Sexual Assault Awareness and Child Abuse Awareness Month.
Registration begins at 8 a.m., with the race slated to begin at 9 a.m. Awards will be presented at 10:30 a.m.
To register as a participant or sponsor, visit VOICE’s website at voicebutlercounty.org/havinvoice5k.html. Online registration closes Thursday. Attendees can also register in person on the day of the race.
Registration costs $25 per participant.
The event takes place at the Worthington Fire Hall, 171 Linton Ave. Food trucks will be present.
Both HAVIN and VOICE serve survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault.
